Var Guitar’s Unofficial List of Klon Dealers
The legendary Klon Centaur has many imitators, but only the Klon KTR, designed by KIon originator Bill Finnegan, can be said to officially carry on its legacy. On the top of each Klon KTR is inscribed the following: “Kindly remember: the ridiculous hype that offends so many is not of my making”. Perhaps this was once true, but in light of recent Instagram and YouTube activity teasing an upcoming KTR drop (according to a Klon LLC Instagram Post on October 26, within three weeks), combined with an scarcity of information on where to actually buy one, it’s hard to deny that Klon LLC is whipping the guitar pedal community into a frenzy.
Whether interest in the Klon is deliberately “of [Bill’s] making” or not, it is undeniably difficult to find out who Klon’s official dealers are. Klon’s website hasn’t been updated since 2011, and although there are dozens of requests in the Klon insta’s comments asking for a list of dealers, there has been no official response on this matter.
Due to the lack of an official Klon dealers list, I decided to write this post listing as many Klon dealers as I could find. I am 100% not affiliated with any of these retailers or with Klon, this is just based on what I’ve been able to find online. US Dealers
- Cream City Music in Brookfield WI. This is where I got mine from – it’s kind of a long story.
- Sound Pure in Durham, NC. I’m not sure if this is still a possibility, but I got in touch with them in late October 2021 to get on a waitlist.
- Coast Sonic in Carlsbad, CA.
- Russo Music in Philadelphia. I’ve seen reports online that if you want to buy from them, you need to get in touch to get on a waitlist.
- Motor City Guitar in Detroit.
- Mass Street Music in Lawrence, KS.

Non-US Dealers
- Joe’s Pedals in the UK.
- Break The Machine in the UK. In December 2021, I’ve seen a few reports in private FB groups of people who’ve successfully bought from here.
- Guitars Rebellion in France. Three times in December 2021, I’ve gone to their page and have seen that they have stock, so if you’re in Europe, this is a good place to look.
- Ikebe Gakki in Japan. In December 2021, I’ve seen a few reports of people successfully buying KTRs from here.
As an aside: a salesman at one of these dealers told me on the phone said to “just get a J Rockett Archer“, which he claimed sounds just as good as a real life Klon. Personally, until my own Klon KTR arrived, I enjoyed the Minotaur model in my Line 6 HX Effects.
