Ever played a @nobelsofficial ODR-1? Even if not, Ever played a @nobelsofficial ODR-1? Even if not, you’ve certainly heard it – as Nashville’s #1 overdrive, it’s featured on thousands of recordings. I interviewed Kai Tachibana (@nord_laender), creator of the ODR-1, about its development, his career in guitar electronics, and the ODR-C, which takes the classic ODR-1 circuit to new heights. https://varguitar.com/interviews/kai-tachibana/ #guitar #ギター #guitargear #guitartone #guitareffects
NPD (sort of). I’d played the standard @bossfx_u NPD (sort of). I’d played the standard @bossfx_us Blues Driver a few times at guitar stores, never the BD-2W, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from the BD-2W’s “C” mode, but after a few weeks with the BD-2W I definitely think I made the right choice. The first impression is that the “C” mode has a little more body in the low-mids, whereas the “S” mode has a little extra top end, but it goes deeper than this. For me, the “C” mode is really distinguished by how it plays with other pedals. The Blues Driver is famous for being a low-gain, slight-crunch kind of pedal, but in the “C” mode it sounds *amazing* pushed with a TS-style overdrive – you get a cranked-stack roar with tons of body. Highly, highly recommended! #guitarist #guitar #ギター #guitargear #guitartone #guitareffects
